Trump is just as naive about foreign relations as he was about the casino industry. And the evidence for the latter speaks for itself.
I've seen estimates that 25% of US GDP is directly related to the oversized role the US plays in maintaining world order.
Trump and his naive followers obviously assume that dismantling this and shaking down our allies will be a "good thing" for the USA. China and Russia would love this.
