I see California collected 69.3B & 65.5B in 2021 & 2020 respectively [1] and Texas collected 73.5B & 70.5B in 2021 & 2020 respectively [2]. This leads to more like $1732 for California & 2450 for Texas which is ~40% higher per capita in 2021.
