Exactly. Normal Patreons and such are run by entertainers/craftspeople who aren't pretending to be your friend, or lover.

I feel like a lot of entertainment acts have elements of that. Crowd work is an important part of many routines.

Maybe that is not the same as pretending to be your friend but then again that mostly applies only to the more extreme end of streamers.
