This is a very good point - these top schools drive social mobility because the non-legacies that manage to squeeze in rub shoulders with the shitbag kids of the old money classes and are able to make connections that their friends that go to state school cannot make. Taking these legacies out of these schools will ensure that they will not be a driver of social mobility.

It's a difficult problem to fix without liquidating the millionaire and billionaire class which society does not have the stomach for currently.
