There's no competition. Philosophers just ask questions that can't be answered with current technology (sometimes with any technology) and then try to answer them anyway achieving nothing. Sometimes coming up with dumb ideas along the way that dangerous people end up believing and constructing ideologies around them. Which are wrong and sometimes lethaly dangerous.
