This would be a very bad idea.
Deadly aircraft incidents, while exceedingly rare given the number of flight hours that happen ever day, often happen within seconds. If there is something that is causing an issue that requires communication to someone (who is likely doing something else) outside of the cockpit, you may not get to it in time. Safety of the passengers and crew is the number one priority, and the captain should not have anything forbidden from his or her usage.
