That's a long read, can you provide a summary? I've never heard about this.

Sorry about your attention span - but the service you requested is not on offer here. You will find other sources when using the search engine of your choice.

Saying "remember what they did" is content free. You couldve just said it.

I skimmed it and it seems like Naomi Wu was interviewed by Vice and despite her insisting they leave certain topics alone (which a message evidently showed them agreeing to and reassuring her that her/her relation’s safety and privacy was paramount), they published material that she felt put her at risk and went against the agreement.

As she attempted to bring light to this, Vice lawyers went after her directly. They also had her patreon shut down. With no way to make money with her channel, she had to go back to full time web development as her channel languished, leaving her with no time for projects.

She tried to bring attention to the injustices with Vice staff and the public, but Vice ignored her and made efforts to smother her voice on platforms like Twitter.

Since I can’t read all of it or read both sides, I can’t tell who did what wrong. Some links she added to the post seem fairly damning to Vice, but I could only skim those as well.

Seeing as Vice is going bankrupt and I don’t see a lot of people too upset about it, maybe it’s safe to bank on their journalism not being all that great, and there could be merit to Naomi’s story.

Apparently, she spent some days with Vice journalists and showed them around for an article, believing due to some documents they'd sent that they would not inquire or publish anything about her personal relationships, and when they were back they started asking about some Reddit theories about her marriage status. She implies that kind of publicity into her private affairs is incredibly dangerous to her life and can't even specify why without exposing herself to that danger, so she immediately attempted to find out and stop what Vice was going to publish without any luck. This snowballed into a long online fight where major name journalists would tweet at her but not reply to her, making her feel desperate and leading to the Medium posts compiling a bit of her story during all this.
