If countries like Bangladesh had the systems and trappings we associate with capitalism in the West (companies, stock markets, lots of rich people in charge), the people at the bottom of their society would not be earning $0.
They'd still be relatively speaking poor... but thousands of times better off, like poor Westerners are thousands of times better off than poor Bangladeshis.
I'm from a poor country (not Bangladesh) and the #1 difference in outcome between that country and the rich country I live in now (Canada) is the capitalistic systems that are in place everywhere.
