Ha, ChatGPT helping you create a literal implementation of the Chinese room, extending it to different languages.

Edit: come to think of it, actually not (because the operator in the Chinese room has no understanding), but is helping you ChatGPT understand the questions (I presume?).

No, I don't use it to gather knowledge because I know ChatGPT makes a lot of mistakes, it requires human to correct it.

So I just use it to enhance ideas and as linguistic beautifier. E.g. run the seed (I mean prompt here) "I created web application to send files, explain nicely why it is better than FTP", and it does good but e.g. mentions SSL and that it helps prevent unauthorized access to files, which is weak because that is not SSL/TLS role. So the prompt and answer requires some adjustment work.
