I've been on a physical server for years, but the problem is wear & tear and eventually they will shut down forever; unless you're willing to set up backups and a recovery plan for physical hardware failure, I'd stick with a VPS for now.
I used a VPS before that, but stopped and switched to a physical one because it was a better deal and we didn't run into CPU limit(ation)s.

Hmm. But every server goes down eventually. What's the difference whether it's a VPS or a physical one? I don't assume anything about my physical servers.
