Congrats on launching. Though I would caution you on the name, which does have meanings you may not intend.

Hey I’m curious (if it’s appropriate for this forum), what are the meanings? Not familiar with this word

In the US, "spook" can be a derogatory word for black people. It came about in the 1940's and while not extremely common today, this context is familiar enough that I'd second the suggestion to rethink the name/brand.

TIL. I always took spooks to mean the CIA.

I think the common usage is government agents, but more generally it's used to refer to things that instill fear or disgust. e.g. ghosts, the feds, and for racists, certain races. I would probably consider a branding update because the historical racial usage is probably enough to dwarf any positive discussion of the platform.

How long should we wait before recycling a term/phrase? There are many words people have never heard today that were common even in the 80s. Which is far more recent than the 40s.

Someone has to be the first to let sleeping dogs lie.

(note, I've _never_ heard spook used for anything other than a spy, and I am old guy)

Has it launched? Where can I watch a stream? In their FAQ they say:

> The proof is in the data. We've been able to show that our streamers happily continue to stream on our platform and never look back.

But there is no list of streamers, or examples. AFAICT it's just a landing page?
