It’s endlessly fascinating how someone can be surprised that they’re highlighted as the “leader” of a cancel campaign when they’re the only Verified user in their cadre, the only one with a massively polarizing Twitter persona guaranteed to alienate anyone that doesn’t prostrate themselves before her, and the only one with hundreds of thousands of tweets archiving their years-long race war against everyone that doesn’t identify as their exact phenotype.

Everyone sucks here. The people willing to spend 100x the effort they spend on their students on trying to change the irrelevant name of a space telescope suck the most. Twitter is the worst thing that ever happened to science after the Spanish Inquisition.
