Sharks are sharks, and humans are humans. We are not mere animals, we have civilizations and… humanity.
Animals do all sorts of horrifying things to one another. I mean, when a human does gruesome, cruel things, we often call them “an animal”.
We know better.

No. Shark attacks are incredibly rare. You’re more likely to be hit by lightning.

Sure, but lightning frequently strikes on land, whereas no shark attack has ever taken place on land.

Shark attacks do occur on land. Sharks snap when out the water, so they’ll bite someone for sure.

That reminds me of a time I went camping on a beach with a group of about 6 people. We found out one of the guys was afraid of sharks. We were walking after dark, about 20 meters from the water and a friend of a friend make a joke about "land shark", and the galeophobe jumped, turned, and asked "where?"

That is an attack in the same sense that when you step on a Lego at night, you are the victim of a Lego attack.
edit: I was kidding. Sorry shark lovers who took it seriously, I get it...
