Innovation and progress are dead. The mainstream google products are all legacy software, just like Microsoft Office. It’s probably a mix of a lack of incentives, technical debt and metrical constraints that make significant changes almost impossible. Only god knows what all those THOUSANDS of overpaid developers and their product/business entourage now getting fired did all day.
