You jest (I guess!), but good integration with a collaborative note taking tool is something no VC software does (well). We always open up a Hedgedox instance, but integration could automate timestamping, saving/mailing to participants afterwards, include a transcript.

I think there is an opportunity for them to make a calendly competitor that handles self service zoom meeting scheduling.
Another spot I’m surprised they aren’t embracing more is becoming a training and learning management platform since a lot of zoom recordings are trainings and they could help facilitate this in the platform.

Zoom has huge distribution through their existing install base.
But so did Amazon when they launched their business suite, Workmail [0].
Email is one of the things you realllly don't want to move once you choose a solution. I can't imagine established organizations voluntarily migrating away from Gsuite or O365 to Zoommail (or Workmail)
And for new businesses owners, signing up for a business email generally comes before signing up for a video call service. Microsoft and Google both know this, which is why they both resell their suite through GoDaddy, NameCheap, and hundreds of other domain registrars and hosting companies.
Any speculation on how Zoom can succeed where Amazon hasn't?

I thought this same thing, tough sell but I suppose it’s a decent option for those starting up; zoom for phone, meetings, collaboration, and then I guess email fits in.
I really can’t imagine many established teams moving everything over but Zoom may as well shoot for the moon or die trying.

In the article it says it will integrate with existing solutions so I imagine it will work simply as a front end if you want.
That makes sense to get people using Zoom more and being more ingrained in people’s workflows. Companies are looking at what pandemic software services they can now cut from their budgets. Most Microsoft shops already have Teams. It isn’t as good, but is it good enough that a business could do without Zoom? Will our users revolt? Zoom is trying to make sure they will revolt.
