This is false, unless you mean "pension funds".

Most people do not own individual stocks. And in fact, most people do not own stocks at all. The set of stock-owning people is far from average.

Only one average person needs to own Twitter stock for my statement to be true. And the number was far higher than one.

And yes, of course pension funds count. Why wouldn't they?
