I automated my coffee machine using an Arduino to brew my coffee in the morning so it's ready by the time I'm downstairs. I've been meaning to do a write up of it for a while

That sounds like an article I'd click on without thinking too much! Please write about it!

I also wanted to do this automation for my office espresso machine when I was employed, but there was very little literature on this at the time so I dropped it.
