Looks like Paypal was trying to go the route of the credit card companies. CC companies have been the veritable police of the internet since time imemmorial. The problem is no one agrees with them, either. It's just as a collective CC companies have an absurd amount of power that is hard to break. Paypal on the otherhand is a small potato, now beaten down from it's 2021 all time high, trying to maintain relevancy.

> One of the violations listed, according to the agreement, is that … "[users] may not use the PayPal service for activities that … involve the sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials that, in PayPal's sole discretion … promote misinformation."

This would never fly even in circles that believe so-called "misinformation" can actually be identified and stopped. The market is punishing them today and it's nice to see people aren't tolerating it. Fact checkers are political pawns, and Snopes alone flip-flopped so much on certain topics in the 4 years if we wrapped it in copper wire we could power most of the US.

Nice try Paypal.

You may be in your own bubble but pretty much everyone agrees unethical entities should not be funded.
