Re:Snap will lay off 20% of staff, report says by dangus on Tuesday August 30, 2022 @10:08PM (#32657534)
Layoffs "will affect certain departments including hardware and developer products."

This is a fun reminder to me that Snap still has a hardware department that is on its fourth iteration of glasses, this time with a display and AR capabilities.

Apparently the AR is used to do...something? I dunno, the examples shown on the marketing pages don't show much of a value proposition to me.

I'm amused that perpetually unprofitable tech companies like Snap throw away money on products like this where "moonshot" would be giving them too much credit.

Ok, who is snap. It's this the company that fits snap chat?

Simple question, why the down votes?

The article never mentions what snap are known for?
