Right before the pandemic hit I was invited to go drive some 1st gen Formula E cars. I really regret passing on that.

(I'm told they can be made much more driveable for non-pros)

Genuinely curious, what did you have in the diary that trumped testing early days FE cars?

I would have ditched most everything to drive an FE car, even work, and I have no driving license / interest in F1 (and am 26+).

nothing, it just seemed like a long trip.

i’m not a great driver but i am good enough that most classes and “experienced” are super tedious…

A proper Formula racing vehicle has a button on the steering console for ordering a bloomin' onion on demand.
