Arguably there's been a larger slowdown in progress/innovation in all areas (energy, transportation, healthcare, etc.) and people haven't noticed/complained so the end of Moore's Law is just one more.

People always complain. They are not heard. There are a lot of Windows and office bugs that some years ago would have make headlines. Now they are just burried in noise. See for example the Win 11 taskbar.
