The purpose of the stimulus check was for Donald Trump to put his name on a check to a bunch of voters.

The extent to which it happened to help out people in need or "the economy" was secondary.

But those stimulus checks was a tiny part of the overall stimulus, which included PPP "loans" (that are widely forgiven)
