My point is that indeed there are tons of articles about the war in Ukraine here in NH. However, here is the thing though...many of the articles that are according to the status quo are not flagged, but most of the contrarian are or will be...

You gave the answer. Keep the status quo is what matters.

If you are submitting something that is explicitly about activist hacking, that's probably on-topic. Otherwise there are plenty of other places to discuss politics without clogging up the discussions going on here. Not every forum on the internet needs to be talking about the war in Ukraine, as important a topic as it may be.

HN is also flagging posts that critique Putin's approach to Ukraine's problem, Scholz's approach to Ukraine's problem, Zelensky's approach to Ukraine's problems, Macron's approach to Ukraine's problem, ...

HN is for tech focused news and sometimes other noteworthy things, but the war is now old news and the little tidbits here and there aren't interesting enough to make the grade.

Apparently, it doesn't interest non-activist hackers, who may or may not be the majority on here. Many of us come here for article quality, and some people raving over minute details of some war (of which there are several going on at any given point in time, most of them being ignored) just don't meet the 'interesting' threshold.

That a lot of these uncharacteristically saber-rattling articles come from very new accounts, like yours, doesn't help. It makes them look like orchestrated spam.
