I find these kind of art kinda annoying to look at, because it takes like 3 or 4 secs until you realize that you are watching nonsense. The initial feeling fools me.

I'm the exact same way and I think this says something about how the methods used to generate these images relates in some way to how our mind processes them.

Seems similar to the incoherent material in doodling, role playing, or dreaming. Humans do a lot of that.
