$2799 for integrated Intel graphics? I'd rather just put a real gaming laptop in a backpack and use a better headset.

$1999 for the tethered version, which is in line with other upper-end headsets like the Varjo Aero (and that one doesn't have AR passthrough)

And Varjo isn't optimized for Linux like simulaVR either.
