If it has a lot of incoming links you get real traffic from them. Any credit you get for links from Google on any web site is hypothetical today.

Thanks for the answer Paul. I noticed the domain that I purchased was not renewned since 2018. So, on checking with whois.com the creation date shows it as 2021 while the creation date is early 2010. What went wrong? Also, the backlinks are showing same. Just the creation date has changed.
