oh fuck off. Thiel may have bankrolled that "relentless" lawsuit for personal reasons, but they lost because they were in the wrong - exhibiting the same hubris and disregard of harm to their subjects that they arguably treated Thiel to when they outed him.
Gawker ignored a court order that got them sued, but no, it's Thiels fault they got punished. This is simply a case of two victims with a perpetrator in common. To suggest this makes Thiel "vindictive" is to conveniently ignore Gawkers malice.

After reading about half of that I’m more curious about what kind of person would bother to follow Thiel closely enough to write a Amazon review like that than Thiel himself.
I guess I just don’t find rich people that interesting or much more than just people.

> Why is The NY Times considered quality journalism, again?
Who thinks that? As far as I can tell, it has always been a glorified lifestyle magazine and a tawdry mouthpiece for American oligarchy. (Though it has become shamelessly blatant in its methods in recent years.)
* A newspaper of record is a major newspaper with large circulation whose editorial and news-gathering functions are considered authoritative. It may also refer to a newspaper that has been authorised to publish public or legal notices, thus serving as a newspaper of public record.*
* The New York Times Building in New York City, United States; some meanings of the term "newspaper of record" originated in reference to The New York Times.*

Enter your url in the second field
If that doesnt turn up anything enter it in the first
First sentence of the article is inaccurate. Thiel was a supporter in 2016 but was uncertain in 2020.

It was once the preeminent newspaper in America.
