It is amazing to me how dilgently people who criticise cryptocurrency are attacked when they comment about it online. I think cryptocurrency is a story of how easily the work of idealistic software authors is co-opted to support the motives of people with more selfish intentions. One could argue its a microcosm of the problems with the internet and so-called "tech industry" as a whole.
