I think it's disgusting that polystyrene is legal at all. It contains toxic chemicals, and in any other context outside of construction it is considered trash-- pollution. And in construction it becomes trash once torn down. It is outlawed in Europe as a single use plastic. And it should be in the US and rest of the world in any application due to its risk of becoming a toxic, persistent environmental hazard.
