That's not equivalent unfortunately.

Vaccine-induced immunity has been shown to offer much broader protection than natural post-infection immunity, and reinfections are not rare with Delta.

It looks like that study was done on < 300 people. Is that strong evidence?

That study, done in a lab and not in the real world, contradicts the latest real-world science on this issue. The two relevant studies:

1) A report in Nature that the natural immunity produced in people who have already had covid may last a lifetime. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01442-9

I thought the CDC advice was that those who are "naturally immune" should get vaccinated anyway for variant protection? That would seem to fit with this announcement at least.
