Many drugs impact multiple biochemical systems. It doesn't matter whether it was previously classified as an antiviral drug or not.
In principle any drug can potentially be used to treat any disease. The real questions are: is there a plausible mechanism of action, and is it safe and effective in clinical trials?
Diet and exercise are known to impact COVID-19. We can focus on multiple different treatments simultaneously.
