You know what's great about SpaceX?

I know that literally every publication in the world could be hysterically writing about how it will never work and how bad a business it is and how irresponsible Elon is, about how we should be fixing the earth not going to Mars, and it just doesn't matter.

They'll just do it.

We'll be in space, on the moon, and at Mars at some point within 50 years at the worst IMO.

They ought to be in the dictionary for ignore the haters.

Most of what I know about Elon Musk comes from a biography of his life I read. It, perhaps appropriately, ends with some (fair) doubts about SpaceX's ability to do verticle landings and create reusable rockets. We know how that ended.

He also made electric vehicles something people wanted for the first time. Tesla accomplished this is an environment that was very negative towards electric vehicles in general probably thanks to the existing auto industry along with the fossil fuel industry.
