Paper is pretty close to a carbon sink, so the more CO2 you sequester.

How much CO2 is sequestered in a sheet of paper, vs how much CO2 is needed to turn trees into paper?

The problem is that most paper that goes to general trash ends up being burnt or degraded by fungi in a landfill, releasing carbon back to the atmosphere.
