A comment on Lyra: A New Very Low-Bitrate Codec for Speech Compression.

For some reason the 1st Lyra example is disturbingly loud at 1 second for me on my mobile phone speaker. Speex doesn't have that problem for example.

That part sounds similar to a microphone echo, wonder if it is because the training data was contaminated with echoing samples.
