If there is a feature that is "important" you get it whether it is appropriate or you want it.
Keyfobs have the beep feature (except tesla). car trunks and doors close with a beep. Flashlights get the blinky-mode feature (except blf lights).
Too bad non-touchscreen controls have not been important enough.
