good luck with that. I'm back to contributing w debian after three consecutive releases of ubuntu breaking up keyboard shortcuts.

if I wanted to use imposed shortcuts I'd be using a mac or windows

Actually there is a standardized mechanism to re-map every keyboard shortcut in any application in OS X.

It's actually one of the little consistencies I miss when using Linux-based desktops.
