Have you also though about how we see 3 holes on a face (2 eyes and 1 mouth, ignoring the downward facing holes of the nostrils) as normal. Just add one more and it’s horror. We take these things granted and then slight changes to it is completely terrifying.
I also wonder - if we rewind evolutionary time and restart with slightly different initial conditions, not sure what species including humans would even exist in the same form. It would likely be like that game Spore.
