It's better aligned with browser technology and with Rust. I think that in time it will run JavaScript apps that depend on browser APIs and/or Rust APIs better than Node. If it also leads to lots of people switching to Rust I don't think Deno's creators would have a problem with that.

Yes! For example, you get fetch out of the box.
