The author of 'In Defense of Looting' seems to think only the Government can create jobs, so small businesses are irrelevant. She thinks it's a "Republican Myth"
> . It's actually a Republican myth that has, over the last 20 years, really crawled into even leftist discourse: that the small business owner must be respected, that the small business owner creates jobs and is part of the community. But that's actually a right-wing myth.

This was in the context or worker protection, which in small businesses is not great. Just consider the praise of overwork in startups on this webforum. Foodservice is orders of magnitudes worse.
