AMD calls it SMT (Simultaneous MultiThreading).

Simultanous Multithreading is the actual term. Hyperthreading is just Intel SMT in marketing language.

Yepp, SMT is the generic term also used in academia for ages. Source: Old editions of venerable "Computer Architecture" by Hennessy & Patterson.
