I’d say that deserves attention.

As a thought experiment, if you loved positive attention and had more money than one man could privately spend in 100 lifetimes, what would you do with your resources?

I cannot imagine seeing someone be so unilaterally altruistic and still hating them. Why do you feel they are deserving of your hate?

Past sins, perhaps? I personally feel that Gates has done plenty to atone. But maybe others aren't so forgiving. I might feel differently if my company and livelihood had been destroyed by the heavy-handed tactics of 1990s Microsoft.

That alone makes you are biased, apparently in particular towards prideful emotions especially when folks like myself expose your bias (such as towards "Appeals to Authority"-- snopes for example-- when I enlightened you to the fact that snopes is embroiled in controversy calling their "information verfication" reputation into question).

Are you actually willing to learn, to at least consider whether a statement is true based on the merit of the facts presented, or will you categorically deny any source that isn't directly connected to legacy media?

If the latter, look into the 'right wing conspiracy theories' and discard what you see as weak evidence and disinformation. Build a case from the point of view opposite of your own, then compare this to the point of view you hold now. Ask yourself which one is more convincing, and why.
