Fun fact: In Japan the bottom color of traffic lights is called blue (aoi), not green (midori).

Fun fact 2 - aoi and midori are not exactly blue and green.

Some traffic lights actually are blue, or something between blue and green (in the past, I have seen some blue traffic lights in Vancouver too).

While this is true, I can tell you that in at least Tokyo and Kyoto, Japanese traffic lights are the 'normal' shade found throughout the world.
