How's the power usage of these Ryzen chips vs Intel vs Apple's home-brew ones? The consumer cares a lot more about battery life than they do about getting the last 10% of performance out of a chip these days.

These will be the first Zen 2 7nm laptop APUs from AMD. The article goes into details about being able to get more power from the same frequency, the greater IPC, and some architectural improvements to reduce power usage throughout the SoC to extend battery life. Of course watch for reviews once retail units are available!
