This is the right answer. With Proton, Steam has a very good start for their Cloud Gaming offering.

Also, you already can play Steam games via in-home streaming on your TV or Android phone.

There is also a program that lets a remote player connect and play with your local computer. This way, you can play couch multi player games via the internet together.
