Lots of people say Java but of the more fancy and convenient (and correct, cough I’m obviously biased cough) ways to do development, I can’t stress enough how amazing it has been to watch release after release of Clojure consisting of mostly trivial changes or library additions.

The language is arguably complete and any syntactic changes you could wish upon yourself are doable in form of a library because it’s a lisp.

And all that piggybacks on top of already quite stable java ecosystem.

Can’t get much better than that.
