No, no one uses this bloated crapware. Want to throw efficiency out the window and code yourself into a corner? Meteor is perfect for that.

I like to be more thoughtful about my QPS and payload sizes.

For it's time (circa 2013/4) it was an absolutely amazing prototyping tool.

No kidding! It was mind-blowing to me to be able to create realtime webapp demos w/ so little effort. Inspiring and exciting stuff. Frameworks come and go, but for many, meteor heralded the reactive paradigm in a jaw-droppingly impressive way.
