I think what we've got in the US cannot be described as capitalism either. The market is way too regulated to be a well functioning market. I think we've just got the right mix of capitalism, regulation and complexity for the average consumer to be confused to get the perfect crony capitalism. The US health Care system is a Rube Goldberg machine made out of grifters.

Edit: of course there are great people working in health care, but they get ground to pieces by the grifting machine.
