Mint the distro with shity security model right? You better stay with Ubuntu / Debian they know what they're doing on that side.

Well, I told you why I don't use Ubuntu.
Debian... The initial reason I switched from Debian to Ubuntu was that Ubuntu included non-free drivers out of the box.
Up to Debian 8, I tried it on the desktop on every major release. And every time my wifi did not work out of the box. So I would have to get a cable to finish the installation or make some extra medium with the non-free drivers. And then I'm "Nahh... I'll stick with a distro that has the non-free drivers included right away".
I have not tried Debian 9 yet.

Their website was hacked once...
I'm a happy Linux Mint user. I've used every major OS in the last 30 years, and that's the one I like the most. There will be a new release soon based on Ubuntu 18.04.

They turn off kernel security updates by default.

Their forum got hacked, it had absolutely nothing to do with the security of their OS.

Didn't their iso-server also get hacked?
