Does Google really use React? I got that impression from skimming the article. That'd be interesting given they develop at least two competing tech like polymer and angular.

The talk mentions they use an in-house framework, but react was probably substituted in to make it more approachable for the audience.

You can't really say "does Google use" because Google isn't monolith.

Big companies usually keep teams cross-functional, leaving teams with the discretion to use the correct tool for the job/team.

One of those teams can use React and then Google would use React.

Nobody cares how much of Google uses React...
