You think? To me it reads like a parody of 4chan. Come to think of it, 4chan is a pretty good at being a parody of itself. It reads to me just like a normal 4chan thread.

i doubt it. HN is becoming too political. only reason to stick around is for the rare historical tidbits and academics weighing in

This. Since the last US presidential election, the signal-to-noise ratio on HN has slowly but steadily being diluted with a ever increasing constant stream of political propaganda posted by the virtue-signaling crowd.

Some of it manages to be filtered out of HN's main page, but sometimes browsing /newest is a sure way to flair up the good ol'carpal tunnel flagging political propaganda submissions.

The criticism we can handle. The racism, not so much.
